Q: Where are your sweaters made?
Q: How often do you receive stock?
A: Our products are made to order from our knitters in Italy, with seasonal deliveries (twice a year). If you need something that isn't available online, please email your request and we'll do our best to meet your request.
Q: What is Signature Yarn?
A: Our signature yarn is made from extra spun 100% merino wool. As part of our obligation to animal welfare, we use mulesing-free wool sourced from Uruguay and Patagonia. Our yarn is spun and dyed in Italy using the highest European standard of reactive and natural colouration methods.
Q: How do I wash my Andersen-Andersen sweater?
A: Before you wash your garment (wool in particular), consider airing it outside instead. A good airing on a hanger can refresh your sweater and neutralise odours.
Small stains can often be removed using a cloth and some cold water.
If you decide to wash your garment in the machine, remember to turn it inside out first. Use a low-agitation wool program at maximum 30 degrees celsius – please do not use warmer water as it can affect the texture and cause shrinkage. If your garment is wool, be sure to use an appropriately mild detergent.
To dry your garment, use a clean towel to gently ‘hug’ out excess water, then dry laying flat at room temperature.
Following these instructions can help maximise the life of your sweater for many years to come.
Q: Will your Indigo and reactive dyes bleed?
A: Our Indigo is dyed by one of the best dye houses in Italy and has been certified with the highest level of colour fastness, which means they will not bleed. This also applies to our reactive dyed colours.
